I am inviting my fellow Filipino Australians in New South Wales and affiliates of PCCNSW to contribute to the PCCNSW Draft Action for 2020 as prepared by AUSVISAYAN Chairperson Ronaldo Villaver, a candidate for President of PCCNSW.

Any constructive inputs, suggestions or recommendations will be welcome.

B. Enhance the operationalisation of Philippine Australia Disaster Emergency Response (PADER)

            c.1 The Filipino Saturday School @ Plumpton NSW

            c.2 Filipino Class of Pinoy Community Cultural Class at Wadalba Class & Gosford Class)

            c.3 Initiate the establishment of Filipino Language Marker or Bantayog-Wika – with KWF                                     of the Philippines

D. Risks Management (Obj 2)

E. Continuing engagement of issues and concerns of Filipinos on working visa in partnership                            with the government and non-government organisation. (Obj 1)

F. Experts Pool Volunteer Program – establishment of database, tapping of experts (Obj 3)

H. Linkages with University & Technical Institutions – Supporting Filipino Students Society (Obj 1)

            p.1 Philippine National Day Ball (June)

            p2 Philippine Christmas Festival

PCCNSW Objectives:

  1. To represent the unified voice and promote the interests of the Filipino community in NSW and relevant overseas Filipino communities.
  2. To foster cooperation, friendship and unity among the various associations in NSW that are interested in improving the social and economic welfare, status and well-being of the Australian community in general and the Filipino community in particular
  3. To act as a source of information in NSW for the activities, accomplishments, aspirations and areas of concern to the Filipino Community to enable the Council to increase awareness of the Australian community on matters and issues affecting Filipinos in NSW.
  4. To identify issues of broad and general concerns affecting the Filipinos and to coordinate with member (affiliate) associations so that Filipinos may respond to these issues effectively.
  5. To promote arts, culture, language, heritage and legacy of the Filipinos among the general community, especially those of Filipino descent in NSW.
  6. To do whatever is necessary for the implementation of anything incidental to the achievement of the above objectives or any part of it.
